Roles and Responsibilities
Team Member Supervision
The Assistant General Manager will foster a positive work environment by treating team members with respect and setting clear performance expectations. They will provide 1-1 feedback, manage policies and coach for improvement, actively listen to team members, resolve conflicts, promote teamwork, and ensure effective pre-shift meetings are conducted daily.
Training & Developement
The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for ensuring team members receive consistent training and development, utilizing established procedures, working with certified trainers, analyzing personal performance, and setting and meeting aggressive team member retention goals in alignment with providing best-of-class hospitality.
Personnel Administration
The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for recruiting and hiring customer service-orientated team members, following hiring procedures, analyzing staffing needs, handling onboarding paperwork, documenting incidents, conducting reviews, posting schedules, and following labor laws to ensure equal opportunity.
Customer Service & Relations
The Assistant General Manager will prioritize customer service and satisfaction through personal example, execute staff recognition programs, cultivate regular customers, manage staffing levels, handle customer complaints, and monitor feedback.
Quality of Operations
The Assistant General Manager will ensure food is prepared and served correctly, meet health and company standards, effectively order product, conduct quality line checks, maintain a clean and safe environment, and manage daily systems.
Business Development
The Assistant General Manager will manage shifts for quality performance, develop sales growth plan, actively seek business opportunities, engage in the local community, implement company marketing plans, and conduct meetings to exceed sales goals.
Profitability
The Assistant General Manager will manage costs within budget, establish cost improvement objectives, follow inventory standards and procedures, and use Pita Chip accounting systems to manage controllable costs.
Financial Administration
The Assistant General Manager will handle financial assets, process invoices, execute opening and closing duties, report information accurately, and scrupulously follow cash-handling policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A proven track record of five or more years of leading and developing teams in a fast-paced and high-volume restaurant or retail environment
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for people development and creating a culture of excellence
- High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to manage stress and promote work-life balance
- Commitment to providing best-of-class hospitality
- Excellent basic mathematical skills
- Able to adapt to current and new technology systems
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 5 hours)
- Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Stamina and availability to work up to 45 to 55 hours per week
- Strong operational and business acumen
