Our Emerging Technology Research Group is looking for an experienced analyst to lead our coverage of Artificial Intelligence and Information Security. As a valued team member, you'll hone your existing analytical skills, develop meaningful insights into a fascinating industry, and contribute to our best-in-class technology research. The research this team produces is utilized by many of the largest private capital investors, corporations investment banks, and service providers globally. Our team is creative, driven, and focused on providing the most insightful and actionable research to our readers and clients.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze private market technology trends through the lens of venture capital deal-making, focusing on AI and Information Security ecosystems
- Conduct in-depth market research, covering key trends, market sizes, growth drivers, risks, and disruption potential
- Publish quarterly updates and research notes leveraging PitchBook's proprietary data on venture capital activity, valuations, and market trends
- Build and maintain datasets of companies, investors, and funds, including taxonomy development to aid client tracking and analysis
- Attend industry conferences and engage with professionals to deepen understanding of trends and expand your network
- Engage with clients through meetings, webinars, and events to support sales, enhance client understanding, and drive strategic alignment
- Streamline research processes to scale with growing client demand and improve efficiency across the team
- Identify opportunities for new research and insights that utilize PitchBook's data to highlight trends in AI and Information Security
- Develop innovative research offerings, including leveraging proprietary data and forming partnerships with other data vendors
- Represent PitchBook Research externally (e.g., conferences, webinars) and internally (collaborating across teams like sales, marketing, and product development)
- Align healthcare coverage with corporate objectives and organizational strategies to ensure relevance and value
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Working Conditions :
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3 days / week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days / week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3 days / week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
