SEEKING A HIGH-LEVEL CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER / PROFESSIONAL LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR

We are a predominantly New York City and South Florida-based, fully remote commercial litigation and corporate boutique law firm, with our team primarily located in and around Manhattan and Boca Raton, FL. We are searching for a  Professional Legal Administrator, General Manager, or Chief Operating Officer  who has been in this seat before—someone who commands respect, brings deep operational expertise, and is ready to drive the next phase of our firm's growth. While the role is remote, occasional in-person meetings will be required as the owner travels between New York City and South Florida.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not an “Office Manager” or “Administrative Assistant” role. This is a  true executive-level position , designed for a seasoned leader who understands law firm operations at a high level and can oversee  strategy, finance, HR, business systems, and overall firm management . You will be the right-hand to the firm’s partners, ensuring that our systems, people, and processes align with our aggressive growth goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Growth & Strategy :  Work closely with the firm’s leadership to drive growth, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure continued profitability.
  • Financial Oversight :  Manage budgets from $3M to $10M , analyze KPIs, and ensure financial controls optimize firm efficiency.
  • Operational Leadership :  Oversee all day-to-day business operations, ensuring the firm runs smoothly and effectively.
  • Human Resources & Talent Management :  Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of a growing team.
  • Process & Systems Optimization :  Refine and implement business systems that improve profitability, client experience, and employee engagement.
  • Technology & Vendor Management :  Ensure the firm’s technology infrastructure supports efficiency and security.
  • Firm Culture & Team Leadership :  Create a high-performance culture where attorneys and staff can thrive.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a  proven leader  with a track record of helping firms  navigate rapid growth, increase profitability, and build strong, scalable systems . You don’t just maintain the status quo—you  push for innovation, accountability, and excellence . You are direct but compassionate, detail-oriented yet strategic, and thrive on solving complex operational challenges.

You must have experience in :

  • Running the operations of a law firm with a revenue of at least  $10M
  • Leading teams of  20 employees  and managing HR compliance
  • Implementing financial controls and driving firm profitability
  • Managing business systems, project management, and vendor relations
  • Overseeing marketing, technology, and operational strategies
  • COMPENSATION & PERKS

    We offer a competitive compensation package with a base salary of  $160,000 , commensurate with experience and performance. This includes performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation will be aligned with the candidate's experience and measurable contributions to the firm's growth.
