Primary Purpose of Position: The primary purpose of this position is to lead wellness initiatives by consulting with Co. Social Services Director, Human Resources, Department and Unit Supervisors, Teams, and department trainers throughout county divisions within the County Social Services to provide leadership in determining needs, developing, rolling-out, and implementing special projects/training/programming to promote and support the psychological safety, physical, mental, and emotional health, and well-being of county teams, individual staff, and special community populations supporting or serving Pitt County DSS/Services. In addition, this position will network with other professional experts in the field to participate and assist in developing staff. This position will develop practices that will ensure a safe work environment and safe work practices. This position targets developing advanced competency-based trainings to the social work staff and other human services case workers.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Considerable knowledge of techniques and methods of conducting formal and informal training programs. Considerable knowledge of theory, practices, and principles of human behavior. Ability to adapt and communicate information to a wide range of audiences and situations. Ability to formulate ideas and communicate them effectively in oral and written form. Ability to interpret and administer federal and State guidelines and apply them to individual programs.
