Job Summary:
Ridgewood Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th or 5th grade Teacher to join our team for the 25-26 school year. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to fostering a love of learning in students and will align with our mission and vision to ensure all students achieve high levels of academic success while developing into responsible, respectful, and safe leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Excellence:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Utilize Higher Order Thinking activities to enhance student comprehension and critical thinking skills.
- Implement vocabulary instruction as a core component of the curriculum.
Student Growth:
- Monitor and assess student progress through formal and informal assessments.
- Differentiate instruction based on individual student needs to ensure every student can reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and adjust instruction to drive student achievement.
Leadership Development:
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes the development of responsible, respectful, and safe behaviors.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to students, guiding them to become leaders within the classroom and school community.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to support the overall mission of Ridgewood Elementary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships that support student success.
- Participate actively in the Ridgewood House System, contributing to the positive culture and community within the school.
