What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Pitt Inventory?
PLEASE READ THIS JOB POST FROM TOP TO BOTTOM BEFORE APPLYING. Interviews begin immediately and training will begin next week. PITT Inventory has an immediate opening for an Inventory Auditor.
Inventory Auditors are crucial members of a 2-8 person team that work together to physically count inventory mostly for our convenience store clients at their store locations and enter information into inventory calculators. We have other types of clients also. Inventories are usually done at 2-3 different locations daily. Items counted may be located on the floor, tables or shelves at various heights. Items are generally counted on the shelves and may need to be moved. Inventories take approximately 2.5-3.5 hours to complete, however, it may take longer depending on the size of the location and the level of inventory to be counted. All Inventory Auditors will receive training on inventory practices and procedures prior to being assigned to on going inventory projects.
Job Requirements and Duties:
-Proficient with a computer and calculator
-Adhere to all company/client policies and procedures
-Ability to work independently and efficiently with 100% accurate results
-Reliable nonpublic transportation REQUIRED daily
-The majority of our work is done in Southwestern, PA, Northern, WV and Eastern, OH however, some overnight regional travel to WV, OH, VA & MI could be required from time to time. Overnight travel expenses are paid. Weekends may also be required a few times a year mainly midyear and end of the year. Approximately 10 weekends per year.
-Ability to complete other duties as assigned by Team Lead and/or Project Manager
-Most work is completed during normal business hours M-F. There is some weekend work usually midyear and end of year for a few weekends (extra hours).
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
-Inventory experience preferred but not required
-Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, email, etc.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers, common fractions and decimals using a 10-key audit calculator
-Prior teamwork experience in a customer service setting preferred
-You must be EXTREMELY DEDICATED, RELIABLE, PROMPT and PROFESSIONAL! This is not a call off position. Our clients and your teammates are depending on you.
