Enterprise Executive- 3PL

PITT OHIO, a $826 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking an Enterprise Executive, 3PL to join our team. This position will be a remote position.

PURPOSE
To contribute to the profitable growth of the company’s enterprise services. They include; Regional and National LTL, Small Package, Truckload, and Supply Chain Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of 3PL companies.
• Negotiate pricing with 3PL partners to create win/win/win solutions for the PITT OHIO Transportation Group companies, the 3PL and the shipper.
• Leverage PITT OHIO Transportation Group service offerings to create deeper relationships within existing 3PL partners to uncover new business opportunities.
• Effectively communicate the value of the Pitt Ohio Transportation Group logistic solutions to your account base.
• Collaborate with the Customer Solutions group to implement value added solutions for your customer base
• Support all Company goals and policies
• Able to work independently and productively from a home office.
• Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Able to travel as required

NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Support PITT OHIO Transportation Group Operations and Administration in reducing cost with your customer base
• Collaborate with and support the efforts of the Operations, Pricing, Safety, Claims, Collections and Sales (local Outside Sales and Inside Sales) Departments

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Business with Supply Chain major a plus.
• Excellent proven track record in the Transportation Industry or within PITT OHIO
• Fluent English language skills are required to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Must effectively use sales reporting tools to leverage information and effectively communicate within the organization.
• Must quickly adapt to change and be willing to handle new administrative, research, sales and marketing tasks.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and the Internet
• Must possess valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required
• Proficient negotiation skills
• Strong analytics skills, understanding freight costing is a plus
• Problem solving, organization, and time management skills are essential
• Able to multi-task

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Overnight travel is required. Overnight travel may average between 8 and 12 nights per month. Must be able to travel by plane, car or public transportation
• Weekend work and travel may occasionally be needed in order to meet customer demands
• Territory assignments could change based on company needs
• Willing to attend evening or weekend classes to learn additional skills as needed
