We are looking for a Docket Clerk who can support the busy attorneys at our law office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. The qualified candidate must also be eager and willing to learn.
Hours:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Review and draft routine legal documents.
- Create and maintain case files.
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders.
- Follow and comply with all aspects of the department's work procedures and policies.
- Properly update client files and log appropriate information in computer system.
- Appropriately handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls.
- Duties will include but not be limited to data entry, mailings, scanning and copying.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and skills:
- Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of office experience.
- Requires functional knowledge of the legal process and PC software to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good history of work attendance and longevity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in a customer service environment.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to positively and effectively interact with management and staff.
- Ability to multi-task in high paced environment.
