Milling Department for Dental Laboratory - Night Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Milling Operations:
- Operate and maintain dental milling machines (e.g., Roland, VHF, imes-icore, Ivoclar, etc.).
- Load and calibrate materials such as zirconia, PMMA, wax, and titanium for milling.
- Follow digital design files to ensure accurate milling of restorations.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Material Management & Quality Control:
- Handle and organize milling materials, ensuring proper inventory levels.
- Inspect milled restorations for accuracy, defects, or imperfections.
- Perform post-milling processes such as sintering, polishing, or finishing as required.
- Ensure all restorations meet lab and client quality standards before passing to the next department.
- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of milling machines.
- Identify and resolve minor technical issues to avoid downtime.
- Work with the CAD/CAM and technical support teams for machine calibration and repairs.
- Collaboration & Workflow Efficiency:
- Communicate effectively with the CAD/CAM design team to ensure correct specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of milled cases and machine logs.
- Assist with training and process improvements to optimize milling workflow.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with dental milling machines and CAD/CAM workflows (preferred).
- Understanding of different dental materials and their milling properties.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and digital design software.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification or training in dental laboratory technology (preferred).
- 1 years of experience in a dental lab milling department or CAD/CAM (preferred but not required).
