Pittman & Steele, PLLC, a Burlington-based law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation team. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented team player to join our office.
Requirements:
- BA/BS and paralegal certification
- Candidate must have extraordinary attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of initiative
- Excellent communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable returning phone calls and talking on the phone.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Word, PDF Converter, Full Adobe & Litigation Databases
Responsibilities:
- Daily client interaction (scheduling appointments, taking cold calls, meeting with clients)
- Draft pleadings, discovery and correspondence
- Create, organize, and maintain client and case files (both paper and electronic)
- Coordinate and oversee attorney scheduling and court deadlines
- Trial preparation
- Knowledge of civil rules of procedures and discovery
- Coordinate/Contact various state court personnel
- Assist on special projects (in other practice areas)
