Qualifications :
Educational Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's Degree, two years of post-secondary education or completion of the
Para Pro Exam.
Experience :
General knowledge of basic technology.
Experience in working with and supervising groups of children.
General Expectations :

Specific Responsibilities :
Assist teachers with providing instruction to students who have been identified as
needing more intensive math and / or reading instruction.
Assist teachers in establishing a positive learning environment and respond to the
individual needs of students.
Appropriately operate all classroom equipment.
Assist students with class assignments individually and in small groups.
Tutor students as directed individually and in small groups.
Assist teacher with small group instruction.
Assist in monitoring student progress.
Grade papers and assist the teacher with record keeping.
Prepare instructional materials and supplies for use.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions :
Level 3 - Medium Work
Exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10-25 pounds of
force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force
constantly.
Frequent sitting and / or standing.
Occasional crawling, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching and stairs.
Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment.
Requires lifting, moving, carrying, pulling or pushing heavy objects or
materials
Position will remain open until filled
