The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University ( is accepting applications for part-time temporary Adjunct Lecturers in each of the following areas: Art Education, 2-D Areas, 3-D Areas
Duties and Responsibilities
Art Education
Teach pedagogy courses in Art Education emphasis curriculum
Content Areas include Art Education Theory and Practice, Elementary Art Education Methods, and Secondary Art Education Methods
2-D
Teach courses in 2-D and Illustration areas to non- majors, majors, and minors
Possible fully online course solely for non- majors
3-D
Teach courses in 3-D Areas to non-majors, majors, and minors.
Possible fully online course solely for non-majors
Required Education and Experience
- Appropriate Master’s degree required
- Substantial professional experience in Art discipline
- Experience in university-level teaching
- Ability to relate well with students and faculty in a regional institution within an environment of shared governance
Job Type: Unclassified, Adjunct Faculty, four-month appointment
Appointment Duration: Semester
Work Schedule: Part Time
