Pittsburg State University invites applications for the position of Admission Representative in the Office of Admission. The primary function of the Admission Representative is to manage a recruitment territory to support the University’s enrollment management plan by developing and implementing recruitment strategy for assigned territory.
Duties and Responsibilities
50% Recruitment Activities
- Initiate and implement recruitment activities within assigned area.
- Conduct visits to secondary schools and community colleges.
- Attend local, regional, and national fairs to promote recruitment efforts.
- Assist in the development of recruitment and marketing programs.
25% Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain relationships with regional secondary schools and independent counselors and administrators.
- Correspond with prospective students, applicants, University alumni, guidance counselors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide information on admission standards, curricular, and co-curricular programs.
10% Admission Office Support
- Aid in the day-to-day operations of the Admission Office.
- Conduct campus tours and meet with prospective students and families.
- Attend Admission staff meetings and main campus events as deemed necessary by the Director.
10% CRM Management
- Manage data, prospects, applicants, and recruitment territories through the customer relations management (CRM) system.
- Enhance student relationships and communication timelines.
- Connect students with other areas of the University as needed.
5% Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience at Hire -
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education and Experience -
- Graduate of Pittsburg State University

Salary: $21.72 per hour. Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance available from day one, as well as Tuition assistance for employee, spouse, and dependents. Vacation and sick leave begin accruing immediately upon employment.

Work Schedule: Full Time – Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
