The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor of Art, a position which is renewable on an annual basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing classes and instructing students in 4 courses/ 12 hours per semester, primarily 2-D foundations and K-12 Art Ed Pedagogy.
- Participation in service, provide student mentorship, make contributions to curriculum development, assist in recruitment efforts, and advising student groups.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience -
- Master’s Degree or Master’s of Fine Arts Degree in 2-D Studio Area
- University level studio teaching experience in Foundations and or 2-D studio area
Preferred Education and Experience -
- K-12 Pedagogy and teaching experience preferred.
- Graduate Teaching Experience
Job Type: Unclassified, Faculty, Non-Tenure Earning, Renewable Annually
Appointment Length: 9-month academic year with renewal based upon performance
