The School of Construction at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Instructional Professor to teach in the Environmental and Safety Program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach 12 hours per semester and hold office hours for student support.
- Evaluate student performance and create exams and assessments.
- Participate in service activities and assist with student recruitment.
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.
- Provide guidance and support to students both in and outside of class.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire
- Master’s Degree in Safety Management or related field
- 5 Years Industry Experience
- OSHA Outreach trainer, or willingness and ability to pursue
Preferred Education and Experience –
- 10 Years Industry Experience
- Doctorate in Safety Management or related field
- Industry Certifications (ASP, CSP, CPM, or OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer
- 1 Year experience with Risk Management, Insurance, and Worker Compensation
