Job Description
The Pittsburg State University School of Automotive & Engineering Technology is accepting applications for a part-time, in-person, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach Welding Processes & Procedures for the Fall 2024 semester.
Course Description
This is an introductory course providing technical information on gas metal, flux core, plasma, and gas tungsten arc welding techniques employed by the welding industry. Techniques in weld inspection, NDE processes, semi-automatic and manual welding as well as plasma arc and oxy-fuel cutting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide lecture material on welding processes
- Oversee welding lab and equipment
- Provide demonstration of welding techniques
- Evaluate and assess student performance
