Job Description
Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Economic Data Analyst to supports the missions of the Business and Economic Research Center (BERC), and the Division of Economic Development and Community Engagement (EDCE), by retrieving data from official sources, compiling and managing electronic databases for analysis, conducting analyses to maintain the integrity and security of the data, generating descriptive visualization of the data, assisting BERC and EDCE personnel in preparing reports and publications, and maintaining and updating the BERC website and data repository.
Duties and Responsibilities
70% Retrieve, Organize, and Manage Data for Economic Analysis (Essential)
Build large scale electronic database to support the applied regional economic analysis work of the Business and Economic Research Center and the Micropolitan Studies initiatives of the Economic Development and Community Engagement Division. Specific duties include :
- Retrieval of economic and business data from various websites and other sources maintained by federal, state, and corporate entities, including but not limited to, the following :
United States Bureau of the Census
25% Editorial and Publication Responsibilities
5% Other Duties as Assigned (Essential)
