Job Description
Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for KSDE Kansas Youth Transitions Network Grant Coordinator in the College of Education. The Coordinator will implement and support the Kansas Youth Transition Network's (KYTN) Strengthening Partnerships to Advance Transition and Employment Outcomes for Youth project on behalf of the Kansas State Department of Education.
Duties and Responsibilities of Position
System Wide Support : 50%
- Investigate, evaluate, select and support the system wide implementation of tools to provide effective online meetings, professional learning and events.
- Support the implementation of the KYTN contract funded by the USDE through KSDE to provide statewide support to local education agencies promoting evidence-based practices early childhood through age 21 for students with disabilities ensuring a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment.
- Collaborate, advise and write guidance and policy documents with and / or on behalf and at the direction of KSDE SETS Team.
- Monitor information from requests, due process, compliance and research to identify emerging needs and priorities which the KSDE KYTN may need to address or support.
- Provide regular leadership to contracts issued by KSDE under KYTN initiative to ensure alignment with plan of operation and alignment with KSDE KYTN priorities and emerging needs.
- Closely monitor the budget to ensure the scope of work stays within financial limits and allocate resources effectively.
