ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Director of Development will be the lead fundraiser and will oversee all Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre development efforts. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with leadership teams, boards, committees, and other key stakeholders to cultivate a culture of philanthropy and implement comprehensive advancement plans that expand a diverse and highly engaged donor base.
The Director of Development will be adept at major gift stewardship and solicitation, managing and executing fundraising and cultivation events, and be a compelling ambassador and spokesperson.
The core responsibilities of this position include :
- Creating, managing, and actively participating in PBT's fundraising strategy, creating effective strategies that align with organization's vision
- With a focus on major gifts, building and deepening relationships with current and potential donors and funding partners
- Managing a portfolio of high-value stakeholders and prospective donors
- Collaborating with the Board of trustees and committees to facilitate and enact strategic goals
- Leading and developing the advancement team, setting performance measures, and monitoring results
- Collaborating with other department directors to achieve strategic goals
- Overseeing special events for fundraising and cultivation such as the Pointe in Time Gala, Dinner En Pointe, the annual Hartwood Acres Picnic in the Park, and invited rehearsals
- Coordinate and manage special campaigns
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization, as well as PBT's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility

Physical Requirements : This is a primarily desk position requires some local travel, as well as evening and weekend work. Valid driver's license and / or reliable transportation is required. Accommodations can be made.

This position is a full-time position located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is not a remote position, though PBT does support hybrid work arrangements. All candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the region.
