Job Summary:
Pittsburgh Behavioral Services (PBS) is excited to invite a dedicated and passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver exceptional behavioral health services to individuals, especially children, by applying your expertise in applied behavior analysis. This position provides a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of our clients and their families. Both part-time and full-time candidates would be considered, with service provisions on-site through PBS programs or at external locations supporting other programs.
The role requires a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or someone in the process of obtaining certification. Responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight, direct consultation, and services to students. The BCBA will coach and support implementation of behavioral strategies, conduct professional development training, and offer BCBA supervision. Additional duties involve developing protocols, collaborating on curriculum and resources, writing assessment reports, building partnerships, leading team meetings, and maintaining professional development. The role also involves efficient time management, effective communication, and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency in computer applications and a professional demeanor are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy interventions to support clients with autism spectrum disorder, learning and behavior disorders, and other developmental disorders.
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and other support staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and records of client progress.
- Utilize your expertise in applied behavior analysis to design behavior modification programs tailored to each client's needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans through data collection and analysis.
- Provide training and support to families on implementing behavioral strategies at home.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Experience working with children in a behavioral health setting.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
