Teacher of Math Position Overview:
Central Catholic High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join its Math Department as a high school Math teacher. Status: Full-time, 10-month per year, exempt position. Federation of Pittsburgh Diocesan Teachers Tenure Track
Primary Responsibilities:
· Embrace and exemplify Central Catholic’s mission to form and educate young men to be Men of Faith, Men of Scholarship, and Men of Service.
· Uphold and promote the Lasallian Core Principles, including:

- Commitment to a quality education

- Concern for the poor and social justice
· Teach five sections of Math, with a focus in Algebra, in collaboration with the Math Department.
· Actively participate in curriculum development and ongoing review within the Math Department.
· Engage fully in faculty formation programs and contribute to a culture of ongoing professional growth.
· Pursue professional development opportunities to remain current in content knowledge and instructional practices.
· Support the broader school community by participating in co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities centered on student growth.
· Demonstrate a collaborative spirit by assisting with departmental initiatives or school-wide projects as needed, at the discretion of the Principal and/or President, while maintaining full adherence to the Federation of Pittsburgh Diocesan Teachers’ contract with the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Salary Range
Commensurate with education and experience.
Position Requirements:
· Possession of, or the ability to obtain, all current clearances and background checks required by the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
· Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Math (Grades 7–12) is preferred.
· Prior teaching experience at the secondary level is strongly preferred.
· Ability and willingness to coach high school athletics is a plus.
· Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, is required.
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds in the course of classroom duties.
