Machine Operator Typical Tasks:
- Operate a variety of production equipment - Glass Cutting Lines and Furnaces
- Inspect & Pack (when not operating or to provide breaks)
- 5S activities
- Other duties as assigned
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be very mechanically inclined and comfortable working around and with large industrial equipment.
- Ability to lead a team and provide direction to coworkers - coach and teach.
- Willing to work overtime.
- Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate
Machine Operator Physical Demands:
- For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- There can be repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds.
- In addition, this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting
Machine Operator Essential Requirements:
- Ability to work the following shiftt: 8-12hr days Monday- Friday, Some Holidays, Weekends and Overtime as needed.
- Good attendance is important to our team at Vitro. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of good attendance and who welcome overtime.
