We are currently hiring instructors for High School and AP-level Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, English, and Physics.
Qualifications
This position requires a valid PA Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Certificate, and candidates should reside in the Pittsburgh area. However, we encourage you to apply even if you are in the process of obtaining your teaching certificate or do not meet all the qualifications, as other opportunities within the organization may be available.

Position Overview
This is a part-time, contractor position with flexible hours. As an Academic Instructor, you will work closely with students in one-on-one settings to enhance their understanding of subject material and develop essential study skills.
Responsibilities
- Design effective lesson plans to complement school curricula.
- Coach students in study skills, motivation, and accountability.
- Assess student understanding in real-time using formative assessment strategies.
- Track and measure student growth in study skills, motivation, and accountability.
- Communicate student progress clearly and effectively with families.
- Collaborate with the Academic Coordinator to create individualized study plans and goals.

- Ability to teach both in-person and online.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster a warm and encouraging learning environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Valid PA Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Certificate (or in the process of obtaining one).

Schedule
- You will coordinate scheduling directly with students and their families (weekend availability may be required).

- Sessions may take place in any of the following locations: online, Pittsburgh Prep's Shadyside or North Hills locations.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
