What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analytics Associate position at Pittsburgh Steelers?
There are two Associate positions available. Both report to the Database Marketing Analytics Manager. The positions are responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Business Analytics Department. The ideal candidates will have the ability to analyze large data sets and communicate findings.
The first position will focus on fan surveys, contests, marketing campaigns and other projects as assigned. In this role, the Associate will present findings and results to various stakeholders including department heads and executives. The Associate will also work with NFL employees to ensure they are providing correct and timely information.
The second position is a new role and will focus on the team’s international efforts, particularly in Mexico, Ireland and Germany. In this role, the Associate will work closely with the international team to track and report on the success of events in market, the growth of the international fan base and the ways in which these fans are interacting with the team.

**Term: One-year Intern, full time, hourly position.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clean data and upload to central data warehouse
• Write queries to extract data
• Analyze data to provide meaningful and actionable insights
• Deliver reports, insights and best practices
• Pull ad hoc data requests
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
• Graduate degree is a plus
• Interested in and knowledgeable of business analytics and the applications within a professional sports team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor and present key messages to the appropriate audience(s)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience in data extraction & transformation, relational databases & SQL
• Familiarity and experience with a BI/visual analytics tool such as Tableau
• Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
