What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baseball Assistant Coach position at Pittsfield Public Schools?
The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Baseball Coach at Taconic High School. These are paid positions. These positions are not eligible for benefits.
Successful candidates will be responsible for managing, organizing and administering programs. Duties include conducting well-organized practices and completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules.
Job Requirements
Ability to teach fundamental baseball techniques that challenge the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes. Must oversee booster club activities and manage equipment inventory. Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team.
Experience as a coach at the high school level preferred.
Season runs March through June.
