What are the responsibilities and job description for the Girls Tennis Asst. Coach position at Pittsfield Public Schools?
The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Girls Head Varsity Tennis and Assistant Tennis Coach at PIttsfield High School. These are paid positions. These positions are not eligible for benefits.
Successful candidates will be responsible for managing, organizing and administering programs. Duties include conducting well-organized practices and completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules. Duties also include recruiting prospective players and coordinating facility needs.
Job Requirements
Ability to teach fundamental tennis techniques that challenge the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes. Must oversee booster club activities and manage equipment inventory. Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team.
Experience as a coach at the high school level preferred.
Season runs March through June.
