Duties
- Assist in the fitting and adjustment of eyeglasses, ensuring proper alignment and comfort for patients.
- Collaborate with optometrists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and bill insurance companies using electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care, maintenance, and usage.
- Perform basic optical repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Engage in retail sales activities, promoting various optical products to enhance patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to the eye is helpful but not required.
- Previous experience in a clinic or retail setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and techniques is highly desirable but will train the right person.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
