Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons for 6th-grade math, 7th-grade math, and Pre-Algebra, ensuring alignment with the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Utilize small class sizes to implement differentiated instruction, address individual learning needs, and engage students in deeper discussions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and colleagues to support student success.
- Establish clear classroom expectations and routines to create a structured and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related quantitative field.
- Valid Florida Teaching Certification (or eligibility for certification in middle school mathematics).
- Prior experience teaching mathematics or working with middle or high school students is preferred.
- Ability to plan, pace, and deliver lessons aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards using the provided curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
