Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, a commitment to fostering student growth, and experience in preparing students for the Florida Statewide Science 8th Grade Assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach middle school science courses, including Earth, Life, and Physical Science, to students in grades 6-9.
- Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that align with Florida state science standards.
- Prepare students for success on the Florida Statewide Science 8th Grade Assessment.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to refine curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support academic achievement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
- Florida teaching certification in Middle Grades Science (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Experience preparing students for the Florida Statewide Science 8th Grade Assessment is a plus.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse needs, including ESE and ELL populations.
