POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hospitable and customer-focused Dining Room Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our dining room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive team morale, ensuring cleanliness, and facilitating communication between staff and clients. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Greet and interact with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ensure that all dining areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Train, motivate, and manage staff to create a positive team morale and atmosphere
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Manage scheduling and payroll for dining room staff
- Assist with special events and catering as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and clients
- Knowledge of food service safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using POS systems
- Conversation Fluency in Spanish is required. Fully fluent in written and spoken English is required.
