Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to oversee the product lifecycle and strategy. Reporting to the VP of Technology, this role will drive product development initiatives while aligning with the company's technological vision and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of product management experience, a strong technical background, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with engineering and technology teams to deliver impactful products.
Responsibilities :
Product Strategy & Vision : Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the organization's technical and business goals.
Collaboration with Technology Teams : Partner closely with the VP of Technology and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with the product roadmap.
End-to-End Product Management : Own the product lifecycle, from ideation and development through launch and ongoing optimization.
Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing product management team to deliver results and foster innovation.
Market Insights : Leverage customer feedback, market research, and industry trends to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
Stakeholder Communication : Act as the primary liaison between technology, business, and executive teams, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Performance Metrics : Define, track, and report on product KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements :
10 years of product management experience
Knowledge of AV over IP standards like SMPTE ST 2110 and IPMX
Understanding of the underlying streaming technologies like traffic shaping, packetization / depacketization, encoding techniques, networking, PTP and related industry terminology.
Knowledge and understanding of the features of audio standards like Dante, AES67, PCM and video compression Standards of codecs like JPEG-XS, H.264, HEVC (H.265) and MPEG
Understanding of the key products like video mixers, switchers, PTZ cameras, encoders / decoders, gateways and production workflows for editing, transcoding, storage, and live broadcasting.
Understanding of the latest industry trends in the Pro-AV / Broadcast industry like Transition from SDI to IP workflows, IPMX, interoperability etc..
Understanding of the customers and major players in Pro-AV and Broadcast domain.
Go-to-Market Strategies with experience with product launches and pricing strategies
Ability to build relationships with industry leaders, attending trade shows (e.g., NAB, Infocom, IBC), capturing market feedback and translating technical details into business value for other stakeholders.
Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand engineering challenges and contribute to technical discussions.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Background in technology or engineering (degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred).
Experience scaling products in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
