SUMMARY
The Food Service Coordinator is responsible to plan and prepare nutritionally well-balanced meals for residents and on-duty staff. Including all ordering of food through vendors as well as shopping for groceries as needed. Preparation of meals for various meetings within Pivot including but not limited to board meetings, orientations, and special meetings. Help create a food service budget that is to be updated yearly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPECTATIONS

Expectation: Commitment is consistent and positive.
Maintain a competency-based and solution-focused approach to working with young people while in residence at the Family Junction, CIC, and Point.
Expectations: Will help resident’s to build a picture of them selves as potentially successful, competent and able to build upon the strengths and resources they already possess.
Plan and prepare nutritionally well-balanced meals for youth in residence and on-duty staff.
Expectation: Meals are to be prepared family-style from menus, which meet the nutritional needs of adolescents; Menus will be varied; Meals will be prepared according to menus; and, youth have input.
Sufficient stores of food will be always available.
Expectations: Adequate stores of fresh food and snacks will be purchased through RFBO or Retail and will be properly stored according to Health Dept. guidelines; Food purchased must be on the basis of the menu requirements and purchased and accounted for in compliance with agency policy and procedures;
The kitchen, the equipment and utensils must always meet Health standards.
Expectations: The kitchen and kitchen equipment will remain clean at all times, in compliance with Health Dept. standards.
Maintains a commitment to the Pivot mission, the vision and “spirit” of the agency.
Salary : $17 - $20
