Job Description:
The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of worksite injury management and health improvement programs. This includes comprehensive wellness assessments, ergonomic risk analyses, and the development of site-specific wellness initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough wellness assessments to identify areas of concern
- Develop and implement effective wellness programs to improve employee health and safety
- Provide first-aid treatment and management for musculoskeletal complaints
- Evaluate and prevent orthopedic injuries
- Coordinate treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise and modalities as needed
- Analyze data and execute administrative tasks, including form completion and patient file documentation
- Create a trusting environment that encourages employees to take responsibility for reducing injury and illness risks
- Communicate regularly with safety personnel and serve on committees as requested
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Board of Certification (BOC) certification
- State licensure/certification
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Ability to travel to various client locations
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and employees
