Our client is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team in Kingsport, TN. With over 75 years of excellence in the industry, we're looking for a professional with a profound understanding of construction projects, including Chemical, Pulp & Paper, and Heavy Industrial sectors. This role is pivotal in ensuring our projects are estimated accurately, aligning with our strategic execution plans and budget objectives.
What You Will Be Doing
Conduct detailed cost analysis for Industrial Electrical projects, from conceptual to detailed estimates.
Collaborate with the Estimating Manager and Superintendents to devise project execution strategies, identifying complexity factors and special equipment requirements.
Utilize advanced construction software tools for estimating, scheduling, and bid management to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Engage in pre-bid meetings, review project specifications, and organize bid documents professionally.
Maintain precise records of estimates and timelines, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout the bidding process.
Forge and nurture relationships with key electrical suppliers to foster a competitive bidding environment, aiming for optimal pricing in estimates.
The Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated experience in pre-construction and estimating within the commercial / industrial construction sector.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on time management and organizational abilities.
Adept at problem-solving, with a keen ability to view projects from a construction business owner's perspective.
Consistent, reliable attendance with adherence to safety standards.
Ability to understand and execute instructions from supervisors effectively.
