HVAC Estimator
Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our team. The HVAC Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems in commercial and residential projects. This role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to provide estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities :
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate HVAC cost estimates.
Calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Consult with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify project scope and specifications.
Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for submission to clients.
Identify potential risks or issues in project designs and suggest value engineering alternatives.
Stay current with industry trends, new HVAC technologies, and market conditions to maintain accurate pricing information.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
Update and maintain estimating records and databases.
Attend site visits or project meetings to gather information and understand project requirements.
Provide support to the sales team during negotiations or presentations.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, project management, or a related role.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation processes.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with industry standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with estimating software such as FastPIPE, QuoteSoft, or Trimble.
Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC solutions and green building practices.
Certification in HVAC estimating or project management (e.g., PMP, ASPE).
