Senior Human Resources Generalist -
Join a growing team in the construction industry as a Senior HR Generalist ! We are looking for an experienced HR professional to support our expanding workforce by managing recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and HR systems.
This role is essential in driving HR initiatives, supporting project teams, and fostering a positive company culture. The ideal candidate is proactive, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Travel is required, and Spanish fluency is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, from job postings to onboarding, for all levels of construction staff, including laborers, managers, and office personnel.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop targeted recruitment strategies to attract top industry talent.
- Manage and enhance the onboarding process to ensure new hires integrate successfully.
HR Policies & Compliance
Develop and maintain HR policies specific to the construction industry, ensuring compliance with labor laws and safety regulations.Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and conflict resolution.Ensure consistent application of policies across multiple project sites and office locations.HR Systems & Reporting
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.Generate and analyze HR metrics to support workforce planning and retention strategies.Provide leadership with critical HR data for decision-making and resource allocation.Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as a key HR contact for employees, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment.Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and employee well-being.Guide employees on HR-related issues, including benefits, policies, and workplace behavior.Onboarding & Offboarding
Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration of new hires.Manage offboarding, including exit interviews and compliance with company policies.Ensure legal and company standards are met throughout onboarding and offboarding.Communication & Collaboration
Act as a liaison between HR and various departments to align company goals with HR strategies.Work closely with field managers and senior executives to address workforce needs.Develop and facilitate training programs for employee development, safety, and compliance.Engage with employees to ensure alignment with company values and initiatives.Travel Requirements :
Travel up to 5% to project sites, recruitment events, and company meetings.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) required.Minimum of 8 years of HR Generalist experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.Workday experience required.Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety standards, and HR best practices.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.Spanish fluency highly preferred.Experience with HRIS and advanced reporting skills.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially.Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to a project-driven environment.Willingness to travel as needed.What We Offer :
