All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.DescriptionJob Purpose : To support major home improvement retailer's retail project execution team using established, but evolving, retail project installation guides.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesConceptualizes plans, develops and writes documentation sets, including concept, reference and task-oriented information, targeted for project installation audiences.Identifies plans and revises technical writing project requirements and deliverables and researches source material for associated projects.Works with program / project teams to develop various specifications, field procedures and user documentation.Works with planning and visual manger in merchandising lab and test environments, interview project execution staff, collect source material and conducts procedure validation with cross-functional contributors for use in the field.Organizes material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.Meets with various contributors to discuss document requirements and gather data to be included in the documents.Conducts testing of documentation for correctness and usability.Participates in project planning, attends project meetings, reviews written content and coordinates review and validation cycles.May require overnight travel to attend concept projects and capture live situations for future projectsPosition RequirementsEducation and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree or significant job-related experienceProficient in MS Office specifically, Word, Excel, Power PointProficient in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and PhotoshopJob Function Requirements Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsPlanning and organizingCommunication skillsSelf-MotivatedTeamworkAdaptabilityVisually able to capture details via Photos or VideosNumber of Openings1About the OrganizationThis position is currently accepting applications.
