What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Pivotal Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Accuracy of Wholesale Financial Activities: Oversee the accuracy of all general ledger functions, including those related to inventory balances, changes, PPV, and pattern details.
- Financial Period Close & Reporting: Provide end-of-period analysis related to the general ledger, including freight, samples, service fees, warehouse expenses, and royalty expenses.
- Asset, Liability, and Expense Recording: Maintain precise records following GAAP, company policies, and SOX compliance standards.
- Review and Test General Ledger Accounts: Ensure proper analysis and documentation support for balances such as licensing, royalties, and other accrued liabilities. Identify trends, concerns, and conclusions, and collaborate with financial management to implement recommendations.
- Process Improvement & Research: Drive efforts to streamline and automate financial processes and reporting, particularly in areas involving BPC, BI, and SAP interactions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel is required.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
