Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs and medical history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report findings to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress.
- Assist in the management of patients with various conditions, including infectious diseases, behavioral health issues, and developmental disabilities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in pediatrics, nursing homes, ambulatory surgery centers, or teaching hospitals is preferred.
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with caring for patients with developmental disabilities and infectious diseases is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.61 - $53.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
