We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by providing direct patient care and monitoring vital signs.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, recovery processes, and any necessary follow-up treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proficient in operating room protocols and procedures, with experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency room practices, including spinal taps and case management.
- Experience in pediatrics or toddler care is a plus, enhancing the ability to provide compassionate care to younger patients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
- Familiarity with occupational health practices is advantageous for comprehensive patient assessments.

Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
