Hotel Front Desk Receptionist

Overview:
Pivovar Hotel is now seeking to add a detail-oriented, hospitality driven, and reliable person to join us as a Guest Service Representative/Night Auditor for our hotel. Hotel experience is helpful but not required. This is a position suited for someone who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the day, evening or night shift. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest services.

- Has time-flexibility to work at different times of the day and days of the week including weekends and overnight shifts (10pm-6am)

- Loves helping people, serving as a host and who proudly promotes all the great things there are to do in greater Waco

- Can work both independently, under direct supervision or teamed up with co-workers

-Can deal with change easily. Job task procedures can change frequently.

- Has an excellent phone voice. You will be frequently answering telephone calls.

- Can maintain poise in tough situations. You're going to occasionally come across unhappy guests and unusual, possibly stressful situations when things don't go as planned.

- Has strong multi-tasking skills to be self-motivated and organized enough to complete tasks despite distractions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the front desk operations during the shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries

- Creating, editing and cancelling reservations for hotel guests which includes data & payment collection

- Providing information on hotel amenities and services as well as describing policies to guests

- Providing information and directions to area attractions, restaurants and stores

- Occasionally attending to guest requests such as delivering towels or linens and possibly even plunging a toilet and other light maintenance duties (changing a light bulb, batteries to a remote control, etc).

- Light cleaning around the office or in clean up of guest spills.

- Following secure payment processing procedures for all payment methods including accurate cash handling and credit cards and 3rd party payments

- Utilize phone systems effectively to handle incoming calls and assist guests with reservations or inquiries

- Coordinating with other departments in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction

- Handle guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner using all available tools and resources

- Assisting as needed with the hotel's sales and marketing efforts

- Helping other departments when needed (with the required training)

- This position requires a considerable time standing, typing (and using a mouse), and walking with moderate amounts of sitting, kneeling, crouching and bending as well as the ability to occasionally lift and carry approximately 35 pounds.

- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff

Skills:
- Experience in hotel or resort environments
- Proficiency in hospitality management software and front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of hotel management practices and procedures
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision
