What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Technician Level III position at Pixel Technologies?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the AV Technician is to perform all tasks given to by the AV Lead Technician including, but not limited to the installation of cabling, displays, speakers, and peripherals for AV systems.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to lead small to medium projects
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reporting accurately daily to the assigned project manager
- Analyze and interpret system drawings
- Knowledge and ability to perform setup and basic configuration on VTC Systems
- Perform installation, adjustment, and operation of audiovisual equipment such as, but not limited to, cameras, speakers, displays, projectors, projection screens, and microphones
- Cable management above ceilings, under tables, and within racks
- Pull and terminate various types of cabling connections (CAT6, Crestron DM, Cresent, RS232, Speaker wire, mic wire, XLR connectors, phoenix connectors)
- Ability to solder
- Knowledge and ability to effectively and safely use basic tools
- Perform knowledge transfer with small customer groups
- Complete deliverables upon project completion

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
- When working on site, could be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 2 years’ experience in collaboration or Audio-Visual Integration
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Dante Level 1
- QSC Level 1
- Crestron Certified Technician
POSSESS OR COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- AVIXA CTS Certification
- Dante Level II
- Crestron Level II
- QSC Level II
- Biamp Tesira
- Extron AV Associate
- OSHA 10
