The Warehouse Operator I – CL performs the physical movement of products and materials. This position is also responsible for accurately maintaining labels and shipping documents, physical inventory, and accurately picking and packing orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and / or shipped
- Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated areas
- Stocking shelves accurate items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Assisting in counting of physical inventory
- Picks priority shipments first as communicated by the supervisor.
- Boxes and packs orders with packing materials to insure safe delivery.
- Pulls product for orders, verifying product numbers and quantity.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Performing tasks safely, accurately, and steadily within the allotted time frame
- Striving for 100% internal and external customer satisfaction and continuous improvement Note : Due to business necessity or in the event a facility is a shared CL and freight forwarding (FF) location, the employee may also be required to perform the duties and responsibilities listed in the freight forwarding Warehouse Operator job description.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not supervise any direct reports.
