WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

As a line cook employee, you will promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Perfect Pizza. Before you begin cooking, you inspect, clean, and maintain food prep areas, including equipment, work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. During the cooking process, you ensure meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients are cooked correctly by correctly weighing, measuring, mixing, and seasoning ingredients. Using methods like tasting, smelling, or piercing, you observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. You take responsibility for all aspects of dishes including portion size, arrangement, and garnishing. As you work with various kitchen equipment you follow kitchen prep rules, policies, and procedures.

You will estimate expected meal consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.


 You continually check for quality, keep track of old and new items, rotate stock, and maintain sufficient levels of products at line stations to support a smooth service period.

You will assist your teammates with food prep during peak periods, substitute for other cooks during emergencies, help to close the kitchen, coordinate with fellow employees to meet guests' needs, fill in where needed, run orders, and supervise staff to ensure proper workflow. You also attend all scheduled employee meetings and receive suggestions for improvement. And you get to consult with supervisory staff to plan menus! At the end of the day, you feel great about putting your cooking skills to great use and keeping our customer's bellies full.
