Pizzeria Moto is a mobile, wood-fired pizzeria that caters weddings, private parties, and pop-ups. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to join our event crew — someone who can take the lead over time and help us create great food and great experiences for our guests.
This role is part-time to start, with weekend availability required. You’ll work directly with the owner at events — and eventually be trained to run your own.
What You’ll Do:
- Work the wood-fired oven, stretch dough, top pies, and plate orders
- Help set up and break down events (tents, tables, gear, etc.)
- Interact with clients and guests with a positive, professional vibe
- Support and eventually lead small event crews
- Troubleshoot on the fly and keep the energy high
- Load/unload equipment and adapt to different event locations
What We’re Looking For:
- Food service or catering experience (wood-fired pizza is a bonus)
- Dependability, great communication, and team-first attitude
- Strong work ethic and confidence in fast-paced environments
- Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long hours, and work outdoors in all weather
- Available on weekends (especially Fridays and Saturdays)
- Able to travel to event sites across Northern Virginia
Travel & Drive Time:
Most events are within 1–2 hours of our base in Northern Virginia. We’ll pay for any drive time beyond 30 minutes at your regular hourly rate. Carpooling is often available, and gas is covered when you're helping haul gear.
