As a Paint Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the painting process. You will oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of paint line systems, train team members, and implement preventative maintenance practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor the coating process to ensure adherence to ATW coating standards.
- Inspect finished trailers for defects and ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Train team members on paint and primer application, sandblasting, and wash bay procedures.
- Provide guidance on the use of materials, equipment, and solutions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot paint line systems, including blast booths, wash bays, primer booths, paint booths, and paint guns.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
- Operate and troubleshoot paint reclaim systems to ensure efficient recovery and reuse of paint materials.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- 1 years of experience in a production painting environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Knowledge of paint chemistry and application techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
