What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Maintenance Supervisor position at PK Companies?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance functions across a portfolio of communities. The role is critical in ensuring that maintenance operations and the physical condition of each community meet the objectives set by ownership and management. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Area Director to address and resolve any maintenance needs promptly. This position requires hands-on skills, as the Regional Maintenance Supervisor will also perform the duties of a Maintenance Technician/Building Maintenance Laborer as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing, RD, HUD, TDHCA, and all company policies.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management for maintenance staff.
- Train and lead teams in safe worksite practices and company procedures.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance and safety policies.
- Track unit turn timelines and monitor curb appeal, building safety, and cleanliness.
- Manage purchase orders, stock ordering, and preventative maintenance programs for cost savings.
- Review vendor contracts, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and oversee contractor bidding.
- Conduct fire safety checks and report any property loss or safety incidents.
- Prepare and review inspection reports and annual bidding documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in housing maintenance or a related field.
- Strong budget management skills and cost-conscious approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Physical capability to lift/move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Classification & Compensation:
- Full-time position with competitive compensation based on experience.
- $55,000/year
