What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Advisory Associate (2025) - Woodcliff Lake, NJ position at PKF O'Connor Davies?
The Risk Advisory Associate will be required to perform a broad range of Risk Advisory tasks. This individual will assist the managers and/or senior managers in engagement planning, execution of test plans, report writing and review of final reports. The position will get exposure to multiple industries and varies services. Projects include SOC attestation, SOX, internal audit, compliance projects, and operation reviews.

Responsibilities:
- Performs operational and compliance audits and various Risk Advisory engagements (i.e. SOC reports, SOX, etc.).
- Documents business processes within process narratives or flowcharts, identifying risks and mitigating controls.
- Identifies control gaps and test the design and operational effectiveness of existing controls.
- Formulates clear and concise conclusions on internal controls and business processes and efficiencies.
- Prepares detailing findings and recommendations.
- Participates in Risk Advisory engagement exit meetings.
- Keeps abreast of regulations, industry, and information technology changes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
- Performing internal control, compliance, internal audit, consulting, or risk services.
- Pursuing CPA certification is desired.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed. Mostly local travel.
