Work Schedule: Positions Supervised:
7:00am-3:15pm, overtime as needed to maintain Non-production schedule

POSITION SUMMARY
Receives, maintains, delivers and stocks items used within warehouse and production floor. Cycle count of inventory. Conduct transactions and processes in Warehouse Computer System.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Receive and count items as well as record the data.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in NJEV parts room/warehouse.
  • Issue or deliver materials, products, parts and supplies to internal customers as well as mechanics based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Pull, stage and issue work tickets for service floor.
  • Operates all types of material handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift as appropriate for particular materials to be moved.
  • Drive forklift in order to pick up incoming stock or to deliver supplies to designated locations and follows all safety rules for forklift operation.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for damage or defects, reporting any damage to Supervisor.
  • Prepare and process customer outbound shipping using carrier manifest systems.
  • Arrange return items to vendors or if directed, dispose of damaged or defective items.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and work areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental standards.
  • Uses tools such as hammers and crowbars to remove strapping, open crates, strap cars.
  • Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and places in proper containers or designated areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience : Six months to one year related experience

Computer Skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft word, excel, outlook, access (for search capability) and understanding of SAGE.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing facility, exposure to paint, welding, dust and other processes involved in constructing custom ambulances and rescue vehicles. May be subjected to exposure to inclement weather. May be subjected to occasional high noise volume.
