We are looking for a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team at our liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering to gain hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. The intern will support various engineering projects, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, while working closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience with 2D and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Engineering documentation (eg. Layouts, P&IDs, flow diagrams, user requirement specifications functional specifications, design specifications and protocols).
- Ability to apply technical knowledge, creativity, and practices to obtain solutions to complex problems while meeting project timelines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in process improvement projects related to liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for production equipment and processes to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and test solutions for operational challenges.
- Help ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and internal quality standards.
- Perform equipment performance analysis and assist in routine maintenance activities.
- Contribute to safety, environmental, and operational audits or inspections as needed.
- Document findings, recommendations, and project outcomes in technical reports and presentations.
